Dig Denver’s new 30-foot-tall conversation piece

When your message can save lives, subtlety isn’t your friend.

So when Xcel Energy wanted to get across an important safety message about calling before you dig, Vladimir Jones’ strategy was to go big. Really big.

With the help of Branded Cities, VJ and Xcel created a 30 foot-tall shovel, mounted on the side of the Courtyard at Marriott at 16th and Curtis streets in downtown Denver. The message, “Call. Wait. Dig. Live,” greets scores of drivers and pedestrians alongside the big red shovel.
